electronic jungle triphop
In the hot August days of 1992 I made a one week trip to the jungle of my dreams. As usual, I had my Licksaver timelinked to my Atari with me to capture the moment. Unfortunately the abandoned tapes and floppies were lost on the way back. Then, at long last, an old woman (Mother Mary) came to deliver.
The trip started in London, Notting Hill, where I went to be part of the Notting Hill Carnival and for the first time witnessed the metamorphosis from dub to jungle. On Sunday night I discovered a mysterious map that came out to be the hint to revelation.
I left London on Monday morning and the journey began...... After three weeks I finally arrived back in Hamburg. It was a very uncomfortable journey in a compartment of a cargo ship. I don`t remember much about the last 14 days on the ocean because somehow I was struck down by a mysterious venom which made me sleep and forget. The only thing that I vaguely remember is a kind of a feast (was it a wedding?) on the 7th day.
The message remains in concealment.
Nobody can stand it.
The music maybe can unveil the secret if you give it the chance.
